Wow! Best pork fried rice ever - so moist and flavorful! The Japanese ramen was incredible. So good. We also loved the veggie chow mein and the beef with broccoli. Every single dish was a winner and everything tasted fresh and not heavy. Our server was so friendly. Ambience perfect for a small Chinese restaurant. Simple and cute. Truly some of the best I've had in SF.

I come here every chance I get when in San Francisco. No restaurant makes the comfort food of curry lamb like here. I can't believe the restaurant was not too busy around noonish today. Maybe it's me but I thought the portion was getting smaller but then I say that all the time, lol. I can't believe this restaurant has been here for over 60 years. The layout has changed over the years and they used to also serve great apple pie and custard pie, but that's dating myself.

This spot is a true classic hole in the wall restaurant in Chinatown that's been around for years. I've been a regular since my teenage years and my go-to order has always been their roast pork with spaghetti. The roast pork is incredibly tender and packed with flavor. Every meal also starts with a single potsticker and a small bowl of soup, which sets the perfect tone. Their homemade potstickers are also absolutely delicious that I ordered one order to share with my brother before. With generous portion sizes, I always leave this place with a satisfied and contented stomach. Service is all around standard as well, but service can get slow when the restaurant gets busy. There's only two ladies working - one in the front of the house and one in the back of the house. They also used to be cash only, but they've started accepting card payments with a $20 minimum.

Definitely one of the best potstickers I've had. Very meaty filling. Tastes different than a traditional potsticker in a great way. It is a bit doughy at the top, but not a big deal. The roasted pork here is surprising extremely moist and tender. I would come back here. I'm looking forward to their other dishes.

Come here for a no frills lunch or dinner. Big portions and fast service. Our family lives to get take out or dine in restaurant. Our go to is always the roast pork and ox tail. You get a side of house soup, pan fried dumpling your entree and fruit as dessert. The roast pork comes in a generous portion with orange sauce, its tender come with a heap of rice to soak up the sauce. The staff speak English and Cantonese and are happy to help you.

Wow!! My fiancé has always raved about this spot and I finally had the opportunity to come try this gem for myself. We both ordered the combo with roast pork and corned beef which also comes with a bowl of soup, a dumpling & a can of soda. I believe they offer the $15 lunch combo that they were offering during SF Restaurant Week as a regular item now. The portions are huge, I couldn't finish my plate and actually had enough for another meal. The dumpling was big, juicy and flavorful! I believe they make the dumplings in house as well. The bitter melon soup is similar to the type of 老火湯 you can expect from your grandma or mom! Overall the food was flavorful but not overly salty & for $15 the lunch combo is a steal! Highly recommend to come and try at least one and support a small local business. Cant wait to come back and try other dishes!

Great place for Chinese pork chops! Huge portions and super tasty. Do note that if you come during a hot day, expect to sweat a lot since there was no AC when we went. Roasted pork with gravy - 4.5/5, a mixture of dry and tender pork chops doused in some sort of gravy, comes with rice and some veggies. The tender parts of the pork were delicious, while the dry parts were a bit too dry. The gravy isn't too salty but definitely flavorful. Ox tail with bean curd - 4/5, a few pieces of meaty ox tail with bean curd. Also topped with gravy and comes with rice. The meat is also tender, and the sauce is just right. Bean curds are soft and soaked up the sauce. They gave us 2 big potstickers with the dishes, which was pretty tasty.

I came to Chinatown after my job interview in Financial District. I was wondering which restaurant to go. I randomly asked someone, was told to go to New Lun Ting Cafe. It has been around for over 100 years. Their signature dish is pork chop. After I read some Yelp reviews, decided to give it a try. YES! It was indeed delicious! Strongly recommend it. The lady owner was very kind. Before I Ieft, she offered me a free cold soda to go because of the hot weather. 92 degrees on that day. I declined as I don't drink sodas. Then she offered again--a cool bottle water which was very nice of her.
